2018 Summer Reading Program


Summer Reading Program 2018, "Libraries Rock!" begins on Tuesday, May 29. Sign-up for the reading portion will start on this day and will continue throughout the summer. The last day of the summer reading program is August 4.
Children's reading program age requirements are 0-5th grades. Teen reading program age requirements are 6th-12th grades. Adult reading program age requirements are anyone over 18. If you have questions about the summer reading program events or reading portion, call the library at (417)532-2148. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Young Adult

If you'll be entering grade 6-12 the Teen Reading Program is for you!
You can read and earn prizes for time spent reading what YOU like....books, magazines, graphic novels, etc.

Summer reading and program fun that lasts all summer long!

How the Program Works:
1. Children ages 0 to 11 can register for a variety of programs.
2. You may register for the reading programs any time after May 28th.
3. You’ll receive your book/time log to record the books you read.
4. We’ll be offering a variety of programs all summer, so pick up a list of events and drop in as often as possible.
5. Completing TWO log sheets means you have completed the program.
6. Everyone who completes the program (filled two logs) will receive a grand prize.
7. You can collect only ONE grand prize for completion.
8. The library welcomes children of all abilities.
